Da Mata to build ethanol plant in Brazil

In Sao Paulo, Brazil, sugarcane handler Da Mata S.A. – Acucar e Alcool is planning to construct an ethanol plant.

The company's second ethanol production facility, the Sanra Marina plant will have an output of more than 26 million gallons a year.

'Today, there aren't enough mills online to provide what's required by the domestic market,' says Jorge Hatem, manager of Da Mata's existing ethanol plant Usina da Mata. 'I've no doubt that at the start of next year we'll see big companies investing here again. And they'll be welcome.'
