CRFA forms partnership to commercialise biodiesel

On 13 September the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association launched a strategic joint venture with biodiesel producer and division of Ontario-based Maple Leaf Foods Rothsay Biodiesel and FS Partners to increase the commercialisation and use of biodiesel in the nation.

The president of the Canadian Renewable Fuels Association Gordon Quaiattini commented: ‘Today is a good day for biodiesel blended fuels in Canada. The Rothsay/FS Partners strategic partnership shows that biodiesel in Canada is not only commercially viable, it also delivers significant environmental and economical benefits.’

The new partnership will see the biodiesel blend supplied to Maple Leaf Foods’ fleets in Ontario.
