Construction of Texas biomass facility set for September
The biomass facility, to be operated by Nacogdoches Power, plans on using logging debris for much of the biomass supplies and will be situated on a 238-acre site.
Approximately 70% of the biomass supply will be from logging debris, while the remaining 30% will come from residual chips and sawdust from existing sawmills or municipal woodwaste streams.
The construction schedule was announced after signing an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract with one of the four construction contractors which made bids to oversee the project.
The facility will take deliveries for approximately 16 hours a day.
Nacogdoches Power is a subsidiary of American Renewables.
