Caldic Chemie tank terminal in operation
The entire tank park now has a total capacity of 172,500m3. The nine new tanks will all be used for the storage and handling of methanol and bioethanol. All the tanks which were built in the first phase of the expansion have been rented and are in use, while partnerships for the most recently finished tanks are pending.
Caldic Chemie’s investment in its tank park was driven by customer demand. With this expansion, Caldic is responding to ongoing developments in green energy and demands for a better environment.
Thanks to its own jetty and the channel which ensures that ships are not dependent on the tide, the location offers great logistic potential by means of sea and inland shipping. Besides being centrally located in the Netherlands and the advantages this has for road transport, rail transport using complete block trains is another useful option.
‘The tank park is modern and meets all safety requirements, enabling us to focus even more on healthy cooperation with both current and potential partners,’ René van Loon, operational director of Caldic Chemie, comments.
