Business Aviation Coalition promotes SAF at COP30

As leaders around the globe congregated and discussed pressing climate change issues at COP30 in Brazil, business aviation stood ready with the industry’s most effective solution for emissions reductions in air travel - sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
Business aviation is committed to leading climate action and championing sustainability by pioneering the use of SAF.
The sector has been at the forefront of SAF adoption, driving both physical uplift and the development of book-and-claim systems that strategically expand SAF’s reach and impact globally.
Business aviation’s access to SAF is now unprecedented with over 100 FBOs worldwide offering direct uplift, while the robust book-and-claim process provides critical, proven options to effectively address emissions and promote investment directly into future SAF production.
These industry-wide advancements are backed by the Business Aviation Coalition for Sustainable Aviation Fuel, a partnership of over 20 leading companies and key trade associations, including the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA), dedicated to scaling SAF.
The coalition strongly encourages aircraft operators globally to contact their fuel providers, FBOs, and sustainability advisors to identify SAF options — especially for flights en route to Belém, Brazil, for COP30 — and for all future missions.
