Biomass Secure Power to develop power plant and pellet mill

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed, proposing a joint venture to build a 15-megawatt co-generation power plant and pellet mill, between Biomass Secure Power Inc. and Naik Development.

The MOU establishes that Biomass Secure Power will be in charge of the technical expertise for the development and building of the plant, whilst Naik Development will provide the access to fibre for fuel and pellets as well as the land for the plant.

Biomass Secure Power president, Jim Carroll, announced in response to the International Energy Agency projections that by 2030 renewable energy will be the second largest source of electricity, that the company was already looking into developing further opportunities to build co-generation power plants in California.
