Bertin to purchase Infinity
In Sao Paulo, Brazil, Grupo Bertin is to purchase 71% of sugar and ethanol manufacturing company Infinity Bio-Energy for an undisclosed sum.
After having sold its meat department to JBS SA, Bertin transferred into the renewable energies sector.
The agreement between the two companies is part of Infinity’s judicial recovery proceedings and Bertin will be issued shares as part of the agreement.
Infinity is based in Hamilton, Bermuda and is the owner of five sugarcane and ethanol mills in Brazil.
