BDI to build biodiesel plant in Belarus
The value of the order is just under €10 million.
The biodiesel production facility, which will produce 50,000 tonnes of biodiesel a year from rapeseed oil, is planned for the city of Mogilev, which is based on Russia's eastern border and has 370,000 inhabitants.
Speaking about the project Wilhelm Hammer, CEO of BDI, said: ‘The commission from Belarus is highly significant. The development of alternative energies from renewable sources is a global trend that cannot be stopped.’
The commission for BDI includes all the engineering services, the supply of specific technical equipment needed to carry out the process, coordination of the construction work and the start-up of the entire plant.
