Argentine biodiesel exports rose 40% in 2014

Biodiesel exports from Argentina reportedly rose 40% on the year in 2014 to almost 1.6 million tonnes, according to Reuters and the Federal Statistics Agency.

Total production rose 29.4% to 2.58 million tonnes.

Tax on biodiesel exports were cut by the Buenos Aires government last year as a way of boosting the sector, which had been affected by European biodiesel import tariffs.
