Albemarle acquires Catilin
In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, US, speciality chemicals firm Albemarle Corporation has acquired Catilin, a technology company dedicated to the development and application of heterogeneous biodiesel catalysis.
The new move will see Albemarle become involved in several R&D synergies.
'We are excited to offer Catilin technology alongside our existing GoBio portfolio to customers in the fast growing renewable fuels market,' says John Nicols, vice president of catalysts at Albemarle. 'Albemarle is committed to expanding our presence in this market and to offering our global customers a broader portfolio to biofuel catalysts.'
The deal's terms have not yet been released.
