Aeternum near commercial production of biolubricants

Aeternum Capital has successfully recommissioned its biodiesel, bioliquids and biolubricants manufacturing plant at Bromborough, near Liverpool.

A £12 million (€14.32 million) investment last year allowed for commercial biodiesel production to begin. Biolubricants are set to go into production when the Automatic Batch Blending (ABB) unit progresses through final performance testing.

Offering a technologically advanced blending option, the ABB unit is specifically designed for handling complex formulations and offering high levels of flexibility, blend accuracy, and repeatability. Coupled with the Bromborough plant's extensive bulk storage, packaging and road loading assets, Aeternum's lubricants growth plans appear achievable.

Aeternum appointed Richard Day to take charge of their Lubricants and Oils team as of January 2012. ‘The ABB unit shows just how far we have come in terms of technology and we are now well on our way to developing a reliable, sustainable source of lubrication fit for the 21st century,’ he says.

Aeternum is already partnering with companies to deliver lubricant growth, with more commercial opportunities available.
