Advanced Biofuels Canada continues growth with new members

Biofuels association Advanced Biofuels Canada (ABFC) is continuing to expand its membership, with the addition of new members including fuel marketers, global technology developers and strategic intelligence services providers.

The new members include: Argus Media, an independent provider of energy and commodity price benchmarks; Carbon Engineering, a Canadian company whose technology captures carbon dioxide directly from the atmosphere and synthesises it into clean energy; Elbow River Marketing, a North American marketer of a range of energy products; and VERBIO North America, a subsidiary of German biofuels producer VERBIO.

“Our organisation continues to grow, as we tap into our member’s global span to bring the best of decarbonisation policy guidance to Canada and its provinces,” commented Kent Engelbrecht, ABFC board chair. “Our objective of a strong, unified industry voice has never been more relevant in the face of rising societal expectations for an accelerated transition from fossil fuels. The technologies our members deploy continue to diversify, building on biofuels’ strengths with growth into synthetic fuels and novel feedstock streams.”

In July last year, ABFC announced the addition of Canada Clean Fuels, Canfor Pump, EcoEngineers and Honeywell UOP to its membership.
