Biodiesel production to begin in Azerbaijan

Biodiesel production is expected to be launched in Azerbaijan according to the Azerbaijani minister of Economy, Shahin Mustafayev, local news outlet Trend reports.

According to the report, the minister announced the decision at an expanded meeting of the board of the Ministry of Economy.

Allegedly, the minister stressed that the corresponding enterprise has already become integrated into the Balakhani Industrial Park, where it will produce biodiesel using recycled tires.

Planned investment is estimated to reach AZN3 million (€1.5 million), with the facility generating 20 jobs.
