Telmo Ferreira holds a bachelor's in Economics and a master's in Corporate Finance. His career includes roles in investment banking, the pulp and paper industry, and more recently, the energy sector, where he has deepened his understanding of global commodities, supply chains and decarbonisation challenges. With a long-standing family heritage closely tied to the maritime industry, Telmo has naturally gravitated toward the maritime world's emerging transformation. Today, he leads PRIO's Maritime & New Markets division, positioning the company at the forefront of the maritime energy transition in Portugal. Head of Maritime and New Markets in PRIO, bunkers market, maritime sustainability targets and the related new legislation coming from IMO and EU is certainly his new and biggest challenge.
