US farmers produced 17 billion bushels of corn in 2025
The US Department of Agriculture (USDA) has confirmed that American farmers harvested a record-setting 17 billion bushels of corn in 2025, marking a 14 percent increase over the 2024 estimate, according to the agency’s latest Crop Production and World Agricultural Supply and Demand Estimates (WASDE) reports released on January 12.
Driven by increases in both yield and harvested acreage, the 2025 corn crop surpasses previous production highs and reflects strong agricultural performance across major corn-producing regions.
Alongside this production milestone, the USDA noted higher ending stocks and continued robust feed and industrial use, underscoring the crop’s importance to domestic and global markets.
The USDA’s comprehensive data provide critical insight for producers, market analysts, and policymakers as the US agricultural sector builds on these historic results.
