Sapp Brothers to sell biodiesel at distribution facility in Iowa
Sapp Brothers Petroleum has added a 30,000 gallon biodiesel tank to its facility in Sioux City, Iowa, enabling wholesale buyers to purchase the fuel and sell it on to customers at gas stations, Siouxland News reports.
"It's a green product, so it's a cleaner burning fuel, obviously the stock that makes this biodiesel is predominantly made out of soybeans which are locally grown and it's refined in Iowa and in and around here," said Andy Richard, CEO of Sapp Brothers.
According to reports, Sapp Brothers are the only company currently selling wholesale biodiesel in Sioux City, northwest Iowa.
The company is a collection of 17 full-service travel centres, primarily located on Interstate-80 from Salt Lake City, Utah in the west to Clearfield, Pennsylvania in the east of the US.
