PerkinElmer webinar hailed a success
More than 170 people attended the online event which covered a range of biofuel-related issues.
The presenters included Prof David Bressler, from the University of Alberta, Nicholas Lancaster, applications scientist from PerkinElmer, and Gerlinde Wita, global market leader, also from PerkinElmer.
The in-depth presentation covered everything from feedstocks to finished-blended and drop-in fuel products.
The webinar highlighted the growing demand for biofuels and how its transition was beneficial for the environment.
Lancaster said: “Quality control of feedstock leads to a quality products and an improved process.
“The manufacturing process is multi-step – monitoring is required to ensure efficiency and quality.”
Technologies covered in this webinar included thermal analysis and ICP instrumentation, techniques and laboratory support.
Listeners were able to gain more about biofuel market trends as well as learn about analytical laboratory techniques.
R&D developments for biodiesel and bioethanol was also be discussed as well issues surrounding feedstocks and refining products.
Sustainable aviation fuel was also be on the agenda as was hydrocarbon extraction research.
