NWE and BSH collaborate for green stoves
New World Energy (NWE) is dedicated to the research, development, and operation of alternative renewable energy projects and has teamed up with Germany-based Bosch and Siemens Home and Appliance Group (BSH) on a pilot project in Indonesia to produce environmentally friendly stoves.
Instead of running on Indonesia’s first choice cooking fuel, kerosene, the Protos stove will run on jatropha oil provided by NWE, making the stove 50% more efficient.
This joint project is now entering phase two and is looking to distribute 2,000 stoves this year alone, utilising 120,000 litres of oil each year.
