NuStar offloads ethanol

In the US, San Antonio-based terminal operator NuStar Energy has begun to receive and offload ethanol unit trains in Stockton and Selby, two of its locations in northern California.

Both terminals are capable of receiving single manifest rail cars up to full unit trains.

The Stockton terminal is a 1 million-barrel-facility and Selby is a 3-million-barrel-facility.

Both terminals have dedicated significant storage capacity to meet the ethanol mandate that became effective on 1 January 2010.

NuStar Energy owns and operates 82 terminal facilities that store and distribute crude oil, refined products and specialty liquids; four crude oil storage tank facilities; and two asphalt refineries with a combined throughput capacity of 104,000 barrels per day.
