New biofuels station opens in California
A new biofuels station selling both biodiesel and E85 has opened in Sacramento, California.
The petrol station is owned by Propel Fuels but co-located at a Mak’s Valero station in the downtown area. Local drivers will be treated to $10 (€7) worth of free biofuel to encourage participation and increase brand awareness.
‘Fleets and families in greater Sacramento have shown us that access to renewable fuels is important to them, so we’re continuing to grow our network of stations here,’ CEO of Propel Matt Horton was quoted as saying. ‘This is an ideal location and we’re excited to be partnering with Mak’s to bring increased fuel choices to drivers while helping make progress toward US clean energy goals.’
Over 1 million drivers in the state of California are eligible to use either E85 or biodiesel currently.
