Neste and World Fuel Services (World Fuel) have extended their existing relationship with a five-year agreement that will expand the availability of Neste-supplied sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at more than 100 airports across World Fuel’s UK and European network.

The extended agreement supports World Fuel’s ability to secure SAF supply and comply with regulatory requirements, including the ReFuelEU Aviation Regulation and the UK SAF mandate.

Through World Fuel’s European network, SAF will be available to its commercial, business and general aviation customers, ensuring a reliable supply for these operators.

The agreement builds on a long-standing collaboration between the two companies, combining World Fuel’s established aviation fuel supply distribution and infrastructure capabilities with Neste’s proven SAF production and supply capacity. This includes Neste’s renewable fuels refinery in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, which is currently capable of producing up to 500,000 tonnes of SAF annually.

Duncan Storey, World Fuel’s Senior Vice-President, EMEA, said: “By combining our extensive European network with Neste’s growing SAF production, we are strengthening the supply foundation our customers rely on as regulatory requirements accelerate across the region. This agreement enhances our ability to deliver consistent, scalable access to SAF where it’s needed most.”

Carl Nyberg, Senior Vice-President, Commercial, Renewable Products at Neste, added: “We are excited to extend the relationship with World Fuel Services. These kinds of collaborations are crucial to supporting the aviation industry in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and meeting SAF mandates, such as the ReFuelEU Aviation Regulation.

“As Neste scales its SAF production capability from 1.5 to 2.2 million tonnes per annum by 2027, leveraging World Fuel’s extensive network of airports in Europe will increase the availability and flexibility of SAF supply for airlines.”
