Mazda’s biofuel journey makes stop at Celtic Renewables plant
The cars had embarked on a 1,000-mile journey from Land’s End to John O’Groats using 100% biofuel from SUSTAIN Fuel - derived from agricultural waste.
Mazda and SUSTAIN Fuel chose Celtic Renewables as one of their stops to refuel on their journey.
While the company does not offer biofuel for cars, unless in niche applications, they were happy to support this project and were able to showcase how its green chemicals – bioacetone and biobutanol – can be used in the creation of a fully sustainable car.
Celtic Renewables’ vision is to replace fossil fuel-derived chemicals with sustainable, biologically derived green chemicals.
Sustainability and the environment are at the heart of what the company does and it fully support companies like Mazda and SUSTAIN in their use of biofuels derived from waste.
Celtic Renewables said it was thrilled to collaborate with both parties and demonstrate how our green chemicals can further contribute to creating a fully sustainable car.
