Marine biofuels for port of Rotterdam and Netherlands’ inland shipping routes

REINPLUS FIWADO Bunker and GoodFuels Marine have entered into a partnership, meaning GoodFuels marine advanced biofuels are now available at the port of Rotterdam.

The partnership, which aims to make European inland shipping more sustainable, will also see GoodFuels Marine biofuels available along inland shipping routes in the Netherlands through the REINPLUS FIWADO Bunker network.

REINPLUS FIWADO Bunker supplies fuel to inland vessels throughout north-west Europe. The collaboration with GoodFuels Marine will see biofuels made available for inland and coastal vessels.

“Due to climate targets and stricter emission requirements, the demand for alternative fuels is increasing,” said Ben van Kol, managing director REINPLUS FIWADO Bunker.

“We are proud to provide our shipping customers with sustainable biofuels through the collaboration between GoodFuels Marine and our parent company VARO Energy. We will ensure that these fuels are available throughout our entire bunker network.”

According to a statement, GoodFuels Marine’s biofuels have been specifically developed for shipping and save up to 90% CO2 and 100% sulphur compared to fossil fuels. They are compatible for every type of marine engine, without modification.
