Largest ethanol plant in southern Europe helps produce vital supplies

COVID-19 has affected many companies in the ethanol industry around the world as production has been hit by the drop in demand.
However, this is not the case for Bulgarian company Essentica, which is the largest and one of the most high-tech companies in Southeastern Europe concerned with the production of bioethanol. Since the beginning of the crisis, the company has been working at full capacity in the production of disinfectants and hand sanitisers.
A large investment in the production of bioethanol has allowed the company to meet the demand in the market during this difficult period, satisfy the domestic consumption within the country and through exports, helping clients abroad that need ethanol.
Essentica is part of the group of companies that form part of VP Brands International, one of the largest producers of wine and spirits in Bulgaria.
VP Brands International is aware of the important social role played by businesses in the country and supports companies in dealing with the global pandemic.
