Kinder Morgan announces new biodiesel pipeline
A test of moving B2 through the pipeline was successfully completed. The pipeline will help diesel fuel suppliers through Oregon meet the states mandate on biodiesel.
The first batch of 100,000 barrels of B2 was created using a blending system to inject B99 into ultra low sulphur diesel. Kinder Morgan has recently begun several renewable fuel projects in its Pacific Northwest facilities.
In the Southeast the company’s Plantation Pipe Line Company became the first in the US to transport biodiesel for commercial purposes.
