Futurol completes bioethanol demo plant in France
Operations have begun at Futurol's demonstration-scale bioethanol plant, located in Pomade and Bazancourt, France.
The facility required a $104.5 million investment (€75 million), 40% of which was supplied by the National Innovation Agency, as well as partnerships with both public and private organisations, such as the National Agricultural Research Institute.
Development of the project started in 2008. It will now produce 180,000 litres a year of second generation ethanol from miscanthus.
