Biodiesel of Las Vegas becomes certified

Biodiesel of Las Vegas has become the first producer in Nevada, US to earn a BQ-9000 certification from the country’s National Biodiesel Board.

The certification is a voluntary programme hosted by the National Biodiesel Accreditation Programme for producers of BQ-9000 biodiesel. It combines the ASTM D6751 quality standard with a quality systems programme that focuses on things like shipping, sampling and fuel management.

‘This shows our industry that we are committed to producing quality fuel for our community,’ company VP Brandon Buff was quoted as saying. ‘This certification also reinforced to our team what we have accomplished and becomes a milestone in our roadmap for the future.’

The Las Vegas facility becomes the 46^th biodiesel producer in the US to obtain this award.
