B151 subsidiary formed

Solar Acquisition Corp. has successfully established its wholly owned biofuels subsidiary B151.

B151 will be responsible for the production of B100 at a cost lower than that of rival biofuel manufacturers, before selling it on to downstream blenders and refiners. It will be blended with conventional fossil fuel-based diesel.

‘Biofuels derived from biomass and advanced biofuels are becoming a strategically important focus for US state governments, the EPA and government’s internationally,’ said Bruce Levy, a director of Solar. ‘Between the existing and anticipated mandates for biofuels blends, it is our view that now is great time to begin focusing on meeting the future demand for renewable biofuels.’
