Cornelius Claeys

Cornelius Claeys is a senior biofuels expert, recently launching a research and consulting company that he will lead. Until last month, Cornelius was head of market intelligence within Neste's strategy function. In this role, he led the analytical team responsible for providing internal stakeholders with strategic market updates and assessments. Prior to that, Cornelius was director of renewables at an energy consulting firm. Earlier roles also include experience in the European Commission's DG Trade, Brussels-based think tanks and international business media. Other topics on which he presented at international conferences include aviation biofuel production costs, the impact of road electrification on biofuel demand and follow-up legislation to the European Green Deal.
