The Dutch Sustainable Energy Association (NVDE)
The Dutch Sustainable Energy Association (NVDE) is committed to an energy supply that is fully based on renewable energy by bringing together stakeholders from across the sector. Our affiliated companies operate in renewable electricity, heat, and gases, as well as sustainable mobility, the built environment, and industry. The 1,600 companies within NVDE collectively generate over €43 billion in revenue and employ nearly 200,000 people in the Netherlands.
NVDE members account for approximately two-thirds of the country’s renewable energy consumption, spanning offshore wind energy, geothermal energy, and solar fields. Together, they ensure the energy supply for millions of Dutch residents while also engaging in research and consultancy. Additionally, NVDE represents half of the insulation market and supplies over fifteen percent of the electric vehicles in the Netherlands. Founded in 2015, NVDE is entirely funded through contributions from its members.
