National Biodiesel Board CEO Joe Jobe leaves position
National Biodiesel Board’s CEO Joe Jobe has left the organisation to pursue other interests after nearly 20 years of service.
Jobe started at the NBB in 1997 and became the CEO just two years later in 1999.
Between then and his date of leaving, Jobe helped grow the US biodiesel industry from producing 200,000 gallons annually to the 2 billion gallons projected for 2016.
“I want to thank the National Biodiesel Board for giving me the opportunity to work in an industry that is helping to change the world,” Jobe said.
“I love this industry, the hard-working people, the visionary leaders, and the product that I will continue to use every day. Now is a good time for me to pursue a different path. Biodiesel is positioned to lead the carbon reduction goals of the nation and I can’t wait to see what biodiesel does next.”
The NBB board of directors thanked Jobe for his years of service and announced that it will immediately begin to search for a successor to step in the undoubtedly large shoes Jobe has left behind.
