Rebecca Groen

Rebecca is Director Clean Molecules and Global biofuels lead at Baringa providing advisory and due diligence across market, commercial, technical and ESG aspects of clean molecules investments. Rebecca has lived and worked in numerous countries, cultures and languages. She is known for her international outlook, energetic and empathetic approach and strong commitment to collaboration. Prior to joining Baringa, Rebecca recently completed a successful tenure as CEO at Futuria Fuels B.V., part of SHV Energy. She was responsible for global sustainable fuels strategy formulation and execution, managing high-risk investment portfolios, delivering biofuels supply deals and advocating for biofuel policy. Rebecca's previous roles include Business Development Lead at ECN (part of TNO) and Subsea Marketing Director at GE Oil & Gas (now Baker Hughes). Her strategic input and leadership have earned her numerous accolades, including being ranked in the Biofuels Digest’s Bioeconomy Top 500 Leaders for the last four consecutive years. In addition to her professional accomplishments, Rebecca is passionate about hiking, singing, volunteering at a choir for people with special needs, and learning new languages.
