Eco-Energy ethanol logistics service aims to improve supply chain performance

Biofuel supply chain company Eco-Energy has launched its Ethanol Logistics Service, extending the company’s current logistics management capabilities to a wider range of ethanol buyers and shippers.

The new platform will provide customers with improved visibility and control over their ethanol supply chain performance, according to Eco-Energy.

Eco-Energy’s technology is based on real-time data capture, monitoring and reporting, providing participants with essential information and resources to maximise their supply chain value.

Additionally, the company announced that it has partnered with Eagle Transport as preferred truck carrier for the business, with Eagle set to assume a number of truck operations currently within Eco-Energy Transportation.

“Eco is excited to use our expertise and market position to bring an industry leading solution that will enable greater visibility and control across the ethanol supply chain,” commented David Maggied, vice-president of transportation at Eco-Energy. “We recognise a real need to resolve current gaps in ethanol logistics management, as well as proactively address the future constraints we anticipate in this space. We believe our strategic partnership with Eagle ensures our logistics service has a strong asset backing by a leader in the motor fuels transport space.”

Lance Collette, president of Eagle Transport, added: “We are excited to establish a strategic partnership with Eco-Energy. We believe Eco’s Ethanol Logistic Service platform launch is compelling and unique; we are proud to be their leading tank truck carrier for this service. With this venture, Eagle expands our terminal footprint and leverages our southeastern presence to attain an increased level of value-based services to the ethanol and petroleum markets.”
