Greenfield Global invests €30 million into Irish plant

Canadian alcohol and ethanol producer Greenfield Global is set to invest an estimated €30 million to establish a new European manufacturing headquarters in Portaloise, Ireland, Irish Times reports.

A new 3,800 square-metre manufacturing plant will be constructed, supplying an approximated 100 jobs throughout its development.

“This facility will ensure we have the capacity to meet increased demand from our life science customers throughout Europe and the region,” Howard Field, Greenfield CEO and president, told Irish Times.

The facility is set to be operational in the second quarter of 2020, generating 75 jobs.
