ISCC announces Global Sustainability Conference

ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification), has announced details of its upcoming Global Sustainability Conference 2018, set to take place on 20 February in Brussels, Belgium.

According to ISCC, the overarching topic of the conference will be the future of bioenergy, a highly topical theme at a time of political and legislative uncertainties such as the RED II negotiations. ISCC has invited high profile speakers from EU institutions and member states, the US, Brazil, trade associations and the biofuels industry, to speak at the event.

Among other issues, the conference speakers will give updates on RED II negotiations and the implementation of policies on advanced biofuels and waste/residues in Member States and insights on biofuels policies and opportunities in other regions of the world, as well as talks on success stories and innovative solutions.

ISCC is a certification system which aims to contribute to the implementation of environmentally, socially and economically sustainable production and use of all kinds of biomass in global supply chains.

 

The Global Sustainability Conference 2018 is a platform for industry, trade, NGOs, associations, research and authorities. The conference is open to all interested parties, with participation free of charge.
