US convenience store RaceTrac to offer E15 fuel to customers

US gasoline retail specialist RaceTrac will expand its fuel offering this year with the debut of E15 fuel at its convenience stores throughout the south of the US. The chain will add E15 later this year and ultimately offer it at more than 100 locations.

The 88-octane fuel is a combination of 15% ethanol and 85% gasoline.

"RaceTrac's mission is to make people's lives simpler and more enjoyable and offering a variety of fuel types to appeal to our guests' needs is one of the ways we deliver on that mission," said Max McBrayer, chief supply officer at RaceTrac.

He added: "With the debut of E15 in more than 100 of our stores, RaceTrac is proud to provide our guests a competitively priced alternative fuel option to complement our already diverse offering which today includes other alternative fuel products such as E85 flex-fuel."

“We are excited that RaceTrac, in addition to the other members of our retail family, is giving more customers the choice to switch to a 21st century fuel that is good for the environment, good for their cars and good for their wallets,” said Emily Skor, Growth Energy CEO. “Consumer demand for E15 is on the rise thanks to its lower price point and environmental benefits and RaceTrac is another example of a retailer committed to providing their customers with the best fueling options.”
