Argentinian company inaugurates ethanol dehydration facility

Argentinian bioenergy company Compañía Bioenergética La Florida (CBLF) has inaugurated its new ethanol dehydration facility in the Tucumán province of Argentina.

The facility – which CGLF says included several improvements over standard dehydration facilities regarding energy use, vapour releases, and water consumption – has a capacity to produce 500,000l of dehydrated ethanol per day.

The company now plans to have 15 taxis from the city of Tucumán to operate on the produced fuel in order to demonstrate its viability for vehicular use.

Blending levels to be used during the trial have not been announced.
